The Crossword Club

The Crossword Club is a subscription that arrives each month by letter mail (no tracking). It includes an illustrated crossword puzzle and goodies such as a mini print, a postcard, an answer book and more. Each issue of the Crossword Club is written, painted and designed by Heather (That's me writing this! Hello!). The theme and goodies inside change each month depending on what I feel like designing. 

The Crossword Club is for anyone who loves art, crossword puzzles, whimsy and wants to spend a little less time on their phone.

I aim to create puzzles of medium difficulty level.

Yes! I write a new crossword puzzle for each month. There are always a few clues that match the theme of the current issue.

Each crossword puzzle is 15 x 15 and has a medium level of difficulty.

Every issue of the Crossword club is drawn, painted and written by me (Heather, the owner of Friendly Reminder co.).

I paint everything with acrylic gouache and then scan it to create the digital layout.

Every issue is printed on and shipped in envelopes made of 100% recycled paper.

Your first Crossword Club envelope will be mailed by the 7th of the month following your order.

After your first envelope, you’ll continue receiving a new Crossword Club envelope each month based on your subscription.

Examples:

• Order anytime in January → your first Crossword Club envelope will be mailed by February 7th.
• Order anytime in June → your first Crossword Club envelope will be mailed by July 7th.
• Order anytime in August → your first Crossword Club envelope will be mailed by September 7th.

Please note that Crossword Club envelopes are sent through Canada Post regular stamped letter mail, so delivery times may vary depending on your location.

Shipping is free on all Crossword Club orders

You will receive one Crossword Club envelope every month, no matter which subscription option you choose.

All subscription plans ship monthly, your subscription choice only determines how often you are billed, not how often you receive your envelope.

Whether you choose a monthly, 3-month, 6-month or 12-month subscription, you’ll receive a new Crossword Club envelope each month.

The Crossword Club is shipped via Canada Post using regular stamped letter mail.

Because The Crossword Club is sent as traditional letter mail, tracking is not available. Delivery times may vary depending on your location.

Your first Crossword Club envelope will be mailed by the 7th of the month following your order. After that, your new Crossword Club envelope will be mailed monthly, with each envelope arriving approximately:

• Canada: 5–10 business days after mailing
• United States: 10–15 business days after mailing
• International: 10–20 business days after mailing

Please note that these are estimated delivery times and do not include the time needed to prepare and mail your envelope.

Yes! You can update your shipping address anytime through the Subscription Portal to ensure future Crossword Club envelopes are sent to the correct address.

If you need to change the shipping address for an upcoming month’s envelope, please email us at hello@friendlyreminderco.com as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to update your address before your envelope is mailed.

Please note that once your Crossword Club envelope has been prepared and mailed, we are unable to change the delivery address.

Because Crossword Club envelopes are sent through Canada Post using regular stamped letter mail, tracking is not available and occasional postal delays can happen. If your envelope hasn’t arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us at hello@friendlyreminderco.com and we’ll be happy to help.

If your envelope arrives damaged, please send us a photo of the envelope and its contents, and we’ll review the issue and do our best to make it right.

Because The Crossword Club is sent through Canada Post using regular stamped letter mail, postal strikes or service disruptions may affect delivery timelines.

If a Canada Post strike occurs, we will hold Crossword Club shipments until mail service resumes. Once Canada Post is operating again, your envelope will be mailed and begin its journey to your mailbox.

The Crossword Club is a monthly snail mail subscription that delivers a new envelope of puzzles, artwork and paper surprises to your mailbox every month.

Choose the subscription plan that works best for you:

• Monthly Subscription — billed every month
• 3-Month Subscription — billed every 3 months
• 6-Month Subscription — billed every 6 months
• 12-Month Subscription — billed every 12 months

No matter which subscription you choose, you will receive one Crossword Club envelope every month. Your subscription plan only determines how often you are billed.

All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before your next renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Subscription Portal.

Yes. All Crossword Club subscriptions automatically renew based on the subscription plan you selected when you signed up.

Your subscription will continue until you choose to cancel. To avoid being charged for your next renewal, please cancel your subscription before your next billing date through your Subscription Portal.

Your first payment is processed when you sign up for The Crossword Club.

For monthly subscriptions, you will be billed on the same day each month as your original order date. For example, if you subscribe on August 10th, your next monthly payment will be processed on September 10th.

For 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscriptions, your payments will automatically renew based on the subscription plan you selected:

• 3-month subscription: billed every 3 months from your original order date
• 6-month subscription: billed every 6 months from your original order date
• 12-month subscription: billed every 12 months from your original order date

• You subscribed on May 15th and only want to receive 1 issue. You must cancel before June 15th or you will be billed for the next month.
